The land of cheese! Wisconsin ranks surprisingly high on the list of places in the U.S. to retire, despite their love of wearing foam cheddar wedge-shaped hats. Cheesy jokes aside, Wisconsin ranks so high because it’s relatively affordable, has good health care, and it ranked really high on the quality of life ranking.

The biggest downside, as far as we can see, is the weather. It’s cold in Wisconsin! If you can get over the winters, though, there are great sports, great food, and very friendly people!
