Affordability: 12

Quality of Life: 41

Health Care: 40

Georgia is relatively average when it comes to retirement. It at least compares favorably to other states in the South. It’s pretty affordable in terms of living costs, and warm weather makes Georgia just peachy for retirees. Health care costs are also more affordable here, although Georgia ranks pretty low among the other states on senior health.

Unfortunately, the state’s life expectancy for seniors is below average. And, this is hopefully unrelated: Georgia also has one of the smaller senior populations in the country.
