Michigan is one of those states that most people forget about! It’s a good choice if you want to live on the water and not spend an obscene amount of money — there’s definitely no shortage of waterfront property here.

Other than that, though, the state doesn’t really have anything spectacular going for it. Aside from having relatively few hospitals per capita, everything here is pretty middle-of-the-road. It’s fine. Not awful, but not excellent, either.
