Connecticut is a beautiful little state on the East Coast that is close enough to big city life to feel exciting and give you interesting things to do, but small enough to feel cozy and intimate.

Connecticut ranks #49 out of 50 when it comes to the taxpayer ranking, which makes it one of the least tax-friendly states for retirees in the entire nation. However, it is tied for #3 for highest life expectancy, which is cool until you remember it also means you’ll be paying a lot of taxes for a very long time.
