Affordability: 23

Quality of Life: 33

Health Care: 41

Let’s be honest: Indiana doesn’t offer a whole lot to do. The cities — like the capital, Indianapolis — are nice, but a lot of the state is farmland and cornfields.

If that’s your thing, maybe Indiana is a great idea. But be aware that the best thing it has going for it is affordability — and that is still in the middle of the pack. This state ranks especially poor when it comes to health care.
