New York can’t be beaten when it comes to cuisine, arts, and culture. There’s always something interesting to do, and there’s always something delicious to eat — especially in New York City. Unfortunately, it’s not the greatest place to retire.
This is primarily due to the cost of living, taxes, and health care quality. New York ranks 5th worst for the adjusted cost of living, and ranks poorly in terms of the annual cost of in-home services, too. In addition, New York isn’t doing so great in terms of health care, either.
