The Cosby Show provided the perfect platform for Lisa Bonet to reveal her acting prowess to the world, and she did so by playing the role of the free-spirited Denise Huxtable to critical acclaim. Bonet would soon move to the show’s spinoff, A Different World.
With her performance on that show, she earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Bonet soon desired more complicated roles, so she moved away from network TV and A Different World to star in movies and direct-to-video releases.
