Ian McDonald was one of the founding members of Foreigner and King Crimson. McDonald was exceptional at playing almost every instrument and wasn’t afraid to press himself in music. McDonald ended up leaving both bands to pursue a solo career but ended up regretting it years later.
McDonald ended up apologizing to King Crimson in a documentary as he felt that he shouldn’t have left them so early on. The apology was given a week before McDonald passed away from colon cancer on February 9th at the age of 89 years old. McDonald will surely be missed by fans all over the world.
