Calvin Simon
Calvin Simon was a music legend as he was a member of not only Parliament but also Funkalelic, which were some of the most popular funk rock bands of their time. Simon fell in love with music at a young age and started singing for the church choir.
Simon knew he had a voice, and when he moved to New Jersey when he was a teenager, he joined The Parliaments. Simon was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and even earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Simon ended up passing away at the age of 79 years old from undisclosed reasons on January 6th.
