Helena is considered to be the most miserable city in Arkansas, which can be blamed mainly on a high crime rate. Residents of Helena have been moving out in droves as many have gotten tired of the low job availability and worsening crime rate. This is one city to stay away from if you want to move to Arkansas, as nothing seems to improve.
Helena has a deep history and was the location of the Battle of Helena during the American Civil War. The city was once pretty prosperous, but now the city is slowly dying.
