Orono is considered to be the most miserable city to live in in Maine, as it is the poorest city in the state. Orono used to be a booming city back in the day with many job opportunities, but that has changed drastically as the city is struggling to keep businesses around.
There isn’t much to do in Orono as most of the entertainment has long been driven away. Residents find Orono pretty miserable to live in as there isn’t much opportunity and nothing fun is around for young people to do. This is one city that you should stay away from if you want a good living.
