Mayte Garcia is a singer, actress, and choreographer, and she married Prince on Valentine’s Day in 1996. She met Prince when she was part of his performance group. The couple were married for four years, had a baby that died, and got divorced.
Prince tragically passed away in 2016, and it deeply affected Mayte, even though the two weren’t together anymore. She turned to writing and wrote The Most Beautiful: My Life with Prince.
