Doris Burke

Doris Burke’s background as a former basketball player came in handy when she opted for a career in sportscasting as she became the first female analyst for NBA games. The Providence College grad began her career as an NBA analyst by covering the New York Knicks games.
Doris was also the first female to become an analyst for college football games when she began to provide regular coverage for the Big East college football games. In light of her ground-breaking work, she was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
