Cari Champion became one of the most important sports analysts and journalists on ESPN shortly after joining the network. She was prominently featured on ESPN’s First Take, where her calmness and intelligence presented a welcome break from the other anchors, Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith.
She’s credited for an incredible story about Cam Newton, the former Carolina Panthers quarterback, as well as a couple of other incredible projects. She eventually became an anchor on SportsCenter, and she’s continued to support the Bruins of UCLA, and the Lakers.
