Cassie Campbell
Former Canadian female hockey player Cassie Campbell became the first woman to provide color commentary for Hockey Night in Canada in October 2006. She was called in as a replacement for Harry Neale who couldn’t make it because he was snowed in at his New York residence.
That day was the start of her career as a sports broadcaster, as she became a rinkside reporter. Campbell also covered the women’s hockey games at the 2010 Winter Olympics for Hockey Night.
