When you think of California, do you think of luxury homes of the rich and famous? It’s true that there are some parts of the state that are very rich, but not everywhere. Once again, it goes to show that even side by side towns can have an extreme difference in their cost of living.

Clearlake’s poverty rate is over double the state’s average of 15.1%, and it is the only town in the entire state where the median home value is less than $100k.
