While most people should be taking a shower or bath daily, one thing you shouldn’t be washing daily is your hair. Washing your hair with shampoo too much strips your strands of healthy, natural oils and can lead to you having dry, damaged hair. Aside from that, not washing your hair means that many more minutes to snooze in the morning – after all, not only would you have to wash your hair, you would most likely have to blow dry it as well. How do you deal with dirty hair without it getting too greasy and easier to style? That’s what dry shampoos are for!
While it’s only gained popularity in the last few years, they actually first showed up on the scene in the 1960s – the model Twiggy actually starred in an early advertisement of the dry shampoo. With so many different brands and styles out on the market, there ways to figure out what the best of the best are like.
Here are five of the best dry shampoos on the market:
1. Oribe 2-in-1Dry Shampoo – Aside from smelling amazing (like most Oribe products do), this one absorbs oil, adds body and movement, but it also has the perfect amount of hold. It’s also great for prepping updos!
2. Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Dry Shampoo Spray – This product smells great and goes on clear, unlike the white powdery stuff!
3. Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk – The oat extract-based ‘poo softens and hydrates… no wonder it is a fave of both shoppers and editors! This is great for sensitive people – it’s a powder that leaves no residue, and it’s light and not greasy.
4. Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo – With its fresh-scented spray, no white residue, and the ability to add a nice lift to roots, this particular dry shampoo is a crowd favorite.
5. Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo – This Oscar Blandi product is not a spray for once. It’s a citrus-scented powder and is applied directly to roots – a product acclaimed by users and editors alike.
