“Yellowjackets” is an American television drama series that combines elements of mystery, thriller, and supernatural horror. The show premiered on Showtime in November 2021 and was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson.
The series tells a dual storyline that alternates between the early 1990s and the present day. In the 1990s, a high school girls’ soccer team, the “Yellowjackets,” survives a plane crash in the wilderness while traveling to a tournament. Stranded and forced to fend for themselves, the girls experience harrowing trials and tribulations, and their struggle for survival leads to unexpected and disturbing outcomes.
