“Sanditon” is a British television drama series based on an unfinished novel of the same name by Jane Austen. The show was adapted and extended by screenwriter Andrew Davies and first aired in 2019. The series is set in the early 19th century and is centered around the fictional seaside town of Sanditon on the south coast of England.
The story follows the experiences of Charlotte Heywood, a spirited and independent young woman played by Rose Williams, as she visits Sanditon. Charlotte’s arrival in the town coincides with its transformation from a quiet fishing village into a fashionable seaside resort.
