Having Oily Skin Is A Bummer But There Are Ways To Deal With It

Having oily skin is a bummer but there are things you can do to treat it so that you take care of the problem and prevent it from coming back.

First of all, let’s look at the blessing of having oily skin.  When you have oily skin you will not deal with aging as early as people with dry skin because the oil naturally moisturizes your face and prevents wrinkles and that is a good thing.

While you want to embrace that wonderful benefit, a little oil goes a long way so you want to get rid of the excess.  The first thing you need to do is find a cleanser that is specifically formulated for oily skin.  Toners are helpful in dealing with oily skin.

When you choose makeup when you have oily skin you want to go for a matte foundation rather than a cream formula or one that says luminous or promises a glow.  You already have enough of a glow when you have oily skin.  Powder is an important part of handling oily skin.  It works best when applied right after your foundation.

However, throughout the day, you should try to stay away from the powder when you feel your oily skin starting to oil again.  Instead, use blotting papers which will absorb the excess oil and removes the oil from your face rather than putting powder on top which makes a yucky mess.

Do not sleep with your makeup on.  It is very important to for anyone that they remove their makeup before they go to sleep but it is even more important to do so if you have oily skin.  If you don’t take your makeup off before bedtime then you will be adding to the oil and adding to the chances of acne, too.
