This is What Happened When a Stranger Caught an Exhausted Mom Sleeping on the Job

Many mothers can attest that being a mom can get quite exhausting, especially if you’re new at it. While having kids is one of the – if not THE – greatest jobs in life, sometimes all you really want is some peace and quiet to yourself for just a moment. And forget taking naps – that’s a bona fide luxury! One mom was caught getting a few moments of shut-eye by a random stranger while in the middle of a Fun 4 Kidz play center, and you’ll never guess what they did next…

While most fellow mothers would either wake up the sleeping mom or call Child Protective Services on them, a totally random stranger (who happened to be radio DJ Tara Jean Stevens) decided to write the mom an open letter via the Internet and post it onto the Facebook page, the Kiah and Tara Jean Facebook page. Stevens wrote the following letter and it spread on the Internet like wildfire – here’s what she had to say:

“Dear Exhausted Mother Who Fell Asleep On A Bench At “Fun 4 Kidz”…I got you. Your little girl was thirsty, I gave her water. She hit her head coming down the big purple slide, I gave her a hug. It’s been an hour since you fell asleep, I won’t leave ’til you wake up…hopefully rested and ready to face the weekend with the warrior-energy us mamas need to parent with a smile on our faces. ~ Mama Tara”

How sweet! How many people do you know would undertake what Tara Jean Stevens did? To be so selfless and give an exhausted mom a break deserves a round of applause!
