If only there was a fast food restaurant with a drive-thru with a menu consisting of nothing but healthy foods that taste just as amazing as a big mac and fries. Well, there’s not. However, if you’re in the mood for fast food or you simply don’t have time for anything else, you’ll want to stick with options that won’t blow your daily calorie intake. Considering most fast food restaurants post their calorie count on the menu these days, you know that one meal has as many as 1,000 calories. Here are three healthier fast food options for you to consider without feeling guilty.
Wendy’s
If you find yourself in line for a meal at Wendy’s, go for the chili. Not only does it not include all the carbs that come along with bread, it’s just plain healthier than any other options on the menu. Depending on the size you order you will consume anywhere between 180 and 270 calories. That’s not bad for a fast food meal. Just be sure to skip the soda and ask for a bottle of water instead.
Taco Bell
Who doesn’t love a good taco from Taco Bell? Even if it’s been said that the ingredients aren’t anything you’d eat if you were familiar with them, they’re just so delicious. If you’re here and looking for something healthy to munch on, go with the chicken soft taco as your meal. It has only 140 calories per serving and it’s fat content is only 3.5 grams. That’s less than half of what most meals here boast.
Chick-Fil-A
Of course you’re going to want this on a Sunday when this particular fast food restaurant is closed. However, if you happen to pass by a Chick-Fil-A any other day of the week, go for the Grilled Chicken sandwich. For only 350 calories, you’ll get everything you want on your sandwich without the guilt. Add an additional 80 calories and order yourself a side salad as well, just hold the dressing.
