When you have a baby, it seems like you will never workout again. But you can workout with a baby, it just takes a little creativity and patience. There are many ways that you can get your workout in; you just have to decide what works best for you.
There is always the idea of going for a walk with the baby. You can carry the baby in a sling or push them in the stroller. If the weather isn’t pretty, any local mall is a great place to walk. You can enjoy window shopping while you get your daily exercise in. Another way to work out with a baby is to take up jogging. There are strollers that are specifically designed for parents that jog. They are built in a specialized design to make sure that the baby will have a smooth ride despite how jarring jogging is. This is a great way to workout with a baby.
If you can work it out, leaving the baby with dad to attend an exercise class is a good idea. This has several advantages. You can get your workout in, get some time away to remember you are someone besides a mommy and dad gets to have one on one time with the baby. If you and dad want to work out together, maybe grandma or a close family friend would enjoy having your little one for that short amount of time it takes to exercise.
There is also the option of attending a gym with a child care center. You child will only be there for a short amount of time and you will be very close by. Lastly, you can workout with a baby to workout with a baby dvds, which are specifically designed dvds that are a workout routine you preform while holding your baby. This is also an opportunity to enjoy time with your little one.
