Walking is the best exercise you can do. In our day and age of Spinning, Zumba and the many other choices you have to choose from, why would you choose walking?
Walking works. It is the most time-tested form of exercise and weight loss. It has been proven time after time. I, myself have lost 25 pounds in the last few months and give full credit to my new walking routine.
Let’s talk about some of the reasons walking is the perfect exercise for you. You were meant to walk. As long as there have been people, they have been walking. It is an activity our body naturally knows how to do so there is not a need for any kind of training or special equipment. You don’t have to wait until your exercise class to get your fitness in. If you are walking, you are getting your exercise for the day. You don’t have to wait to go to the gym, or to get home to do your dvds.
You can walk anywhere, anytime. Kids have soccer practice? You can walk then. Waiting on a friend to meet you for lunch at the mall? You can get some walking in by making laps of the mall. The point is, you have everything you need with you all the time. When you are ready, you can take off for your daily walking jaunt.
Anybody can do it, no matter their age or weight. There are no restrictions to walking, although you should always check with your physician before you do any new exercise.
You can set your pace to suit you when you are beginning a walking routine and slowly build it up. Walking is not as hard on your knees as jogging or other exercises. Walking helps relieve stress.
Any type of fitness is good for your body but walking is the best choice for your health.
