Three Delicious “Mock”tail Recipes

While my personal favorite aspect of summer is enjoying a fruity cocktail by the pool or at a fabulous restaurant overlooking the ocean, not everyone is a fan of alcohol beverages. On the same note, not everyone is able to drink alcohol (give a shout out to your underage, recovering, and pregnant friends) but that doesn’t mean they should have to drink a bottle of water or a boring old soda while at your pool parties. Your guests can enjoy plenty of delicious concoctions that don’t include booze. Here are a few alcohol-free beverages your party guests will love.

Blue Lagoon

It’s time to bust out the blender for this delicious mocktail. Blend a half cup of ice, half cup of blueberries, half cup of low-fat milk (you can also use soy milk or yogurt if you so choose) one cup of pineapple juice and blend. Pour it into a gorgeous glass, add some whipped cream to the top, and garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple for a mocktail that will have  you feel like you’re on the beaches of Hawaii.

Peach Paradise

Blend a half cup of ice, a cup of peaches, a half cup of vanilla ice cream, a cup of apple juice, and one tablespoon of lemon juice. Depending on whether you like your mocktails thick or a little more watered-down, you can add more or less ice. Pour into a tall glass, add a straw, and garnish with a slice of lemon and pretend you are in the Caribbean.

Non-Alcoholic Sangria

Cut up a lime, a lemon, and an orange and place them into a large pitcher. Pour three cups of cranberry juice, two cups of unsweet tea, and two tablespoons of lime juice into the pitcher and mix it well. Pour into a wine glass and enjoy a tasty sangria with no wine included.
