Do You Need AAA Auto Insurance?

Every time I book a hotel room I check the little box that says AAA member and wonder if buying this would be good for me. And then I never do it. It doesn’t seem like something that’s worth the fee considering my husband and I both have cars that have integrated systems that will help us when we need it, provide us with roadside assistance and that keep track of our directions and everything else in our vehicles. Of course, that’s just us. There are other people who use AAA Auto insurance for various reasons, including the fact that it saves them a bundle on a number of things they do for fun. For example, even with OnStar or BMW Assist or whatever your car might have, you can’t save money on hotel rooms, so maybe AAA would be worth it. Here are a few reasons you might want to consider this form of car insurance.

Travel Savings

Many companies such as rental car agencies and hotels offer savings to members of AAA when you add your information to your reservation. It’s as simple as that, and you can save a few dollars on every booking. If you do this a few times a year, you might actually save enough to pay the cost of  having the insurance.

Theme Park Savings

If you have the desire to visit any theme parks, you might want to check on how it would suit you to get a AAA card to save money on tickets. The savings can be substantial if you go often, and even if you don’t go often it’s always nice to save even just a little bit.

Roadside Assistance

If you don’t have this through your regular insurance or through a program such as OnStar, it might be worth the money to get it here. It’s a nice option to have when you’re on the road and in need of some assistance, such as a tow or even just gas or jumper cables.
