Grocery shopping is an expensive thing to do. Unfortunately, it is the kind of shopping you can’t exactly get away from. There’s nothing in life that really says, “You needn’t grocery shop ever again,” because then how would you get wine or coffee (other than ordering them online which is still shopping). Online or in person, shopping for groceries is expensive. That’s why so many grocery stores and supermarkets make it their business to offer rewards credit cards designed with shoppers in mind. It’s a great way for shoppers to understand that they can save when they purchase the things they need. Kroger offers a credit card to shoppers that comes complete with reward points and offers good enough to make you want to shop more often and feel less guilty when you do.
The Point System
Each shopping trip to Kroger allows you to rack up the points. Each time you get 1000 points on your Kroger credit card, you get a $5 gift card to use to make the purchase of groceries just a little bit less expensive. It’s not the most mind-blowing credit card offer, but it’s still $5 in free groceries.
How Points Work
If you spend money anywhere Visa is accepted, you get 1 point for every $1 you spend. If you spend money at Kroger, you get 2 points for every $1 you spend. If you buy Kroger brand groceries and items when you are shopping in the store, you get 3 points for every $1 you spend. That’s big savings. Since most of us spend around $200 every time we go to the store, it’s not going to take long to earn free groceries.
Paperless Billing
Most people love this option as it means they don’t have to worry about their billing statement getting lost in the mail, forgetting to mail it or killing the environment. It’s a nice alternative for those who want to use their card in a way that’s not wasteful. And we love that Kroger offers such a simple way to bank.
