All right business owners; it’s that time again. It’s time for you to sit back and enjoy what we have to offer in terms of business credit card recommendation. Today’s version of events is the SimplyCash Plus Business Credit Card from American Express. It’s a widely known fact that American Express makes some of the business credit cards with the biggest perks, and we love that about the company. That said, let’s take a look at this card, which is great for business owners both big and small, and see what it has to offer.
Be sure to keep in mind what we always tell you; this may or may not be the card for you. We don’t make the decisions, and we don’t make the rules. All we make is a recommendation for a card that might work well for your business needs. This card is great for those who love cash back, and it’s one you need to hurry up and apply for now since the amazing introductory offer is just about off the table. Read on to find out what the SimplyCash Plus Business Credit Card from American Express has to offer you and your small or large business.
What We Love
The most important thing you need to know about this card for business owners is that the special introductory offer that the card has at the moment is not going to last forever. You will need to apply for this card prior to August 3, 2016 if you want to take advantage of the huge cash back offer you get as a signing bonus (if that doesn’t make you feel like a superstar, what does?). All you have to do to earn a staggering $250 cash back is spend $5,000 within six months of opening this card. That’s a lot of money, but not when you get to spread it out over 6 months.
We just love this card, if we have not already mentioned that a time or two. Another great feature of this card is the fact that there is no annual fee. That’s not something you get all that often with an American Express card, which is what makes it particularly good in terms of card offers. On top of that, the cash back you earn from making every day business purchases is significant.
When you make any purchases that have to do with your wireless phone services, you will earn 5% cash back. When you make any purchases that are from office supply stores, you’ll also earn 5% cash back. This percentage is good on purchases up to $50,000. American Express presents all card holders with a list of different locations throughout the country and allows you to choose the one you are most likely to use. From that list your choice is then added to your account and you will earn 3% cash back on all the purchases you make up to $50,000 in that category.
The rest of your purchases earn a solid 1% cash back rate that allows you to earn cash back with every single purchase you make. But really, you can just sign us up thanks to the lack of annual fee and the fact that you get such a nice sign-up bonus.
What We Don’t Love
There is almost always something that you just won’t love about a credit card. However, we don’t think there’s much to complain about with this offer. The cash back offer and the lack of annual fee make it a profitable card from the start, and there is nothing wrong with that. However, we do want to point out that there are card holders and business owners who do not prefer to have cash back offers in multiple categories.
While making cell phone purchases in a big corporation might make more sense in terms of cash back, you’re not going to earn much cash back in that category if you have a small business with only two phones or so. You have to know about small business electricity prices that are available in your area to save your money but also get benefited at the same time. You have to do the math and figure out whether or not the categories are right for you. But, you also have to consider the fact that you have another category that earns 3% cash back on any category you choose. That’s a nice way to earn a lot of money back since you know where your spending habits lie.
The other issue is that American Express must receive your application before August 3 or you will not qualify for the cash back bonus. It doesn’t leave you much time to compare cards and figure out which one is right for your business, but it’s a good offer and it might be worth stopping the search right now. Think it through before you make a decision, but it’s a good card and offer.
