Mo Ibrahim is a British-Sudanese entrepreneur and philanthropist who made his fortune in the telecommunications industry. He founded Celtel, a mobile phone company that operated in several African countries, and later sold it for $3.4 billion USD. Mo Ibrahim is also known for his philanthropic work through the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, which promotes good governance and leadership in Africa.
