Travel is something that makes you so rich. Different cultures, different history and all that goes along with traveling someplace new and exciting provides you with knowledge and memories. The only thing that gets in the way of a perfect trip is the whole packing thing. You never know what the weather will do when you travel, what you might need and whether or not you’ll need extra space in your luggage for the trip home. Fortunately, these three packing trips will help you make the most of your space, time and trip.
Pack for What You Know
Before you pack anything stop and think about what you know you’ll be doing rather than what you might do. If you know you’re going to the beach, pack the essentials. If you know you’ll do a lot of walking, pack comfortable shoes and clothes. It’s easier to pack for what you know than what you think.
Pack What You Love
Why we feel the need to dress differently when we travel is beyond me. Instead of packing stuff you never wear at home (unless you live in Alaska and you’re traveling to Maui) pack the stuff you love to wear at home. If you’re a jeans and tee kind of woman, pack jeans and tees. You won’t be comfortable spending every single day in dresses and heels.
Think Shoes
Since your shoes tend to take up the most space in your luggage, try to work your wardrobe around them. For example, instead of packing four dinner dresses that go with four different pair of shoes, pack four dresses that match one pair and save yourself some hassle and some room in your luggage. Additionally, shoes are heavy, which means that you’re more likely to end up paying overweight luggage fees packing these than other items.
