Three Ways to Feel Better Every Day

If you’ve ever gotten out of bed and thought to yourself that today is just not your day, you are not alone. In fact, you are not alone and this is not the last time you will feel this way. It seems that one wrong move in the morning can wreak havoc on the remainder of your day. Fortunately, you can get out of that funk and feel just a little bit better every single day by taking a few notes right now.

Exercise

Sometimes all it takes is a good 20 minute sweat-fest to make you feel like a better version of you. Whether it is 20 minutes on the yoga mat or 20 minutes on the treadmill running at a brisk pace, finding a few minutes to exercise every single day will make you feel that much better.

Give in to Your Cravings

Depriving yourself of your favorite things is a surefire way to overindulge and end up feeling even worse than you do right now. Want a cookie or a second glass of wine? Don’t tell yourself no and spend the rest of the night hating yourself and thinking of that wine or that cookie. Indulge; moderately. No, you can’t eat the entire box of cookies or drink the entire bottle of wine, but you can have a little of your favorite treat to make yourself feel a little bit better. And trust me, you will feel much better after having a little bit than you will if you cave and have it all.

Bring Spring Inside

Don’t wait for a man to send flowers to you at home or at the office. Send yourself a bouquet of fresh blooms or stop by the farmers market or florist on your way home this afternoon and pick up a few fresh flowers to brighten up your space.
