10 Reasons Influencers Are Ridiculous

Wikipedia

There are more than 10 reasons influencers are ridiculous, but it’s agreed by many that they’re tough to validate. They don’t appear to add much to society.

Too many ask for free goods and services

Wikipedia

Influencers are ridiculous for a lot of reasons, but this is one of the worst. It does need to be said that not every influencer asks for free items or services, but too many of them have done it in the past several years.

They believe that likes and influence are currency

Wikipedia

Somehow they get the impression that getting your business more likes will serve as a means of payment. If you need any other reason why influencers are ridiculous…

Their ‘hard work’ is essentially useless to many people

Wikipedia

It sounds like many think that getting the right lighting, having to suffer through cold food, and editing their stuff (if they do the editing) is tough. Yeah…let that sink in.

Some believe that the world should conform to their needs

Wikipedia

There’s been way too much of this in the past decade as people appear to think that the world needs to follow their schedule. It’s a guilty pleasure of many to see an influencer’s face when they get a reality check.

They don’t add a lot to society

Wikipedia

Seriously, what do they add? They’re typically in business for themselves and don’t add much to the companies they’re trying to promote.

They cause disruption while trying to film

Wikipedia

Go to the gym with an influencer and see how many times they get upset when someone walks in front of their camera. Or even better, try to sit down and eat a meal with a food influencer.

People don’t always want to be on film or in pictures

Wikipedia

There’s indeed nothing to do when an influencer busts out their phone and takes pictures or a video. But it’s also incredibly rude to start snapping pics or create a video when people don’t want to be a part of the background.

Their sense of entitlement is insane

Wikipedia

Yes, their time is somehow more valuable than yours…in their social media-soaked minds. How dare the rest of us think that they should pay, or be asked to move, or be temporarily inconvenienced?

They’re always on their phones or online

Wikipedia

This is more of a personal problem of theirs, but family and friends find it particularly annoying. In some cases, shutting off social media and denying their views is the best option.

They often stretch the truth

Wikipedia

Whether it’s inflating their likes, and number of followers, or making themselves out to be a bigger deal than they are, influencers do stretch the truth. It’s another guilty pleasure to see them called out for their lies.
