Seven Stunning Vera Wang Wedding Dresses

Vera Wang Wedding Dresses

Vera Wang’s name is synonymous with stunning, breathtaking wedding gowns. The designer, 65, designs all kinds of clothing collections, but it is her bridal ones that she is best known for. She is the undisputed Queen of Bridal Gowns and has a wide range of haute couture wedding gown and bridesmaid gown collections that wow even the toughest bridal customers.

Wang has made wedding gowns for many well-known public figures, including Jennifer Garner, Uma Thurman, Kate Hudson, Vicotira Beckham, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Avril Lavigne, Jennifer Lopez, Chelsea Clinton, IVanka Trump, Sharon Stone, Hilary Duff, Holly Hunter, and Khloe and Kim Kardashian. In Sex and the City, Charlotte wore a Vera Wang gown for her first wedding, when she married Trey MacDougal.

Ms. Wang also designs collections for David’s Bridal (White by Vera Wang), making her bridal gowns available to a much wider range of customers.

Here are seven of the most beautiful dresses available through the Vera Wang and David’s Bridal websites.

Organza Gown with Draped Bodice and Tulle Skirt, White by Vera Wang,

This uniquely textured organza wedding dress has a draped bodice, split-front overlay, and asymmetrical skirt. The floral waistband is a beautiful and whimsical detail. It is available in stores and online in Ivory and Sterling and available through Special Order in stores in White.

“Olya,” Vera Wang Spring 2015 Bridal Collection,

This gown has the most gorgeous bodice. Its structured bodice gives way to a drop waist that turns into a sheer, diaphanous skirt.

2014 Bridal Spring/Summer Collection - Vera Wang Bridal - Show

“Madeline,” Vera Wang Spring 2014 Bridal Collection,

This ivory V-neck Chantilly lace mermaid gown has guipure lace accents. Vera designed the gown to challenge the idea that lace automatically equals romantic, flowery visions.  The dress feels novel and it turns lace into “something distinctly modern and architectural,” as Wang states in Behind the Dress, from her website. The softly sculpted peplum of geometric web lace that fans out from the waist is unique and gorgeous.

Strapless Draped Lace Column GownWhite by Vera Wang,

This simple but breathtaking lace column dress is for a bride who doesn’t want too much jazz. Beautiful Chantilly lace is draped at opposing angles for an amazingly flattering design, and underneath is a sensual double layer of charmeuse lining. You can make it a little more romantic or glamourous by adding a White by Vera Wang horsehair, floral, or crystal sash, as seen in the photo. And the chapel train is perfect for navigating around during the reception.

“Odette,” Vera Wang Spring 2015 Bridal Collection,

How fun and whimsical is this dress? The deep V is sexy but not too sexy and the difference in materials between the top and the bottom, as well as the sleekness of the top and the big, vibrant, puffy bottom make this dress just amazing. This dress is perfect for a fashion-forward bride who’s a bit of a risk taker and wants a wedding gown that comes with a sly wink.

“Fiona,” Vera Wang Iconic Bridal Collection,

Wang writes, “Weddings are about the poignancy of two people coming together, and in Fiona that poignancy is reflected in the drama of a very striking bodice against a heart-melting skirt.” The dress reveals the wearer’s silhouette and celebrates the feminine figure with an asymmetrically-draped mermaid sheath. The stretch mikado material is very flattering bride because it conforms to the contours of the body, while holding and shaping her figure. The severe top half is balanced by the demure, frothy skirt, which is constructed out of bias-cut organza sections.

Organza Laser Cut Floral Fabric Ball Gown, White by Vera Wang,

This Limited Edition gown is cute and beautiful at the same time. The metallic details on this exquisite gown will glisten in the sun or moonlight throughout your special day. The strapless organza ball gown has laser-cut floral fabric and features eye-catching metallic embroidery. A grosgrain sash helps define the waist.
