Celebrities have already stepped out in full beach mode this spring, from Ashley Tisdale’s mid-March Hawaiian jaunt to Spring Breakers stars Ashley Benson, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens rocking it out on the film’s sunny St. Petersburg, Florida set. Although getting as fit as these young Hollywood starlets by summer may be a tad on the ambitious side for most of us, their fun-in-the sun celebrity beachwear styles are totally within reach.

Neon Swimsuit Style
Anyone that lived through the blinding mess that was the 1980s neon trend has good reason to be wary of a revival, but this year’s color choices are more vivacious than vintage. Stand out amongst all those safe, demure black and white bathing suits with a bright splash of electric blue, hot pink, sizzling orange, lime green or banana yellow. From trusty bikinis reminiscent of the latest celebrity beachwear to one-shoulder and strapless one-pieces, the neon look will get you noticed.
Heatwave Hairdo
Want a look that broadcasts “day at the beach” without actually needing to get in the water? The secret to loose, windswept waves that look like they’ve just dried off in the sun is texturizing sea salt spray, which you can scrunch into damp hair. To make your own, add 1 teaspoon of sea salt and 1/2 teaspoon each of conditioner and hair gel to 8 ounces of water.
Sun-Kissed Skin
You don’t have to be bikini brave to get into 2012’s neon swimwear trend, but losing your winter-pale skin (if you have it) is a must. Neon looks best on darker skin tones, and tends to wash out light skin, especially if you like the yellow or green-colored suits. Try a simple at-home tanner or make a few stops at your local tanning salon to get that celebrity beachwear style before hitting the waves.
