The Singapore-born, Nepal-raised designer Prabal Gurung is a go-to choice for A-list celebrities and fashionistas the world over for fashion-forward, beautiful designs. Gurung graduated from Parsons New School for Design and then worked for Cynthia Rowley and Bill Blass before launching his eponymous line in February, 2009. His designs are constantly being worn by the likes of Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton and his designs are favorites of red carpet power players Zoe SaldanaSarah Jessica Parker, and Diane Kruger. Women all over the world admire Gurung’s focus on modern luxury, glamour, and unforgettable, enduring style. And his Target collection brought his designs to a wider audience, making more cost-concerned shoppers everywhere overjoyed.

Zoe Saldana at the CFDA Awards – June 2012

The Star Trek star and regular wearer of Prabal Gurung’s clothes (and close personal friend) attended the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards as the designer’s guest. Saldana looked stunning in a black illusion-sectioned Gurung dress, showing off her petite figure. Just beautiful.

The Oscar-winning actress looked show-stopping in this gold lame gown from Gurung’s fall 2012 collection. The open back and sides  added a fun sexiness to this truly winning look.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore this Spring 2012 Prabal Gurung dress to a state reception in Singapore. It’s covered in a gorgeous royal purple Rorschach-type print and could not be more interesting and ladylike while also being fashion-forward.

Diane Kruger to the Met Opera’s Opening Night – September 2013

The Inglorious Bastards star is another close friend and supporter of Gurung. Kruger attended the Metropolitan Opera Season Opener in 2013 alongside the designer, wearing his ultra-luxe double-face satin, Resort 2014 dress. The gown featured a contrast bodice with a straight neckline, a banded waist, and a full skirt with on-seam side pockets. The red-white-and-black dress with a longer-in-the-back hem is playful yet dressy enough for a black tie affair.


Kate Hudson at amfAR 3rd Annual Inspiration Gala – October 2012

Actress Kate Hudson looked stunning in this body-hugging dress as she attended the amfAR 3rd annual Inspiration Gala. The floor length dress is from Gurung’s 2013 Resort Collection and features a sexy plunging neckline and chic cut out short sleeves.
