For the past 11 years, my husband has done an amazing job of not only telling me but showing me how much he loves me on a daily basis. I love the attention and his affection. He makes me feel so good about myself and about our marriage that I wanted to reciprocate so I’ve been trying to do the same thing for the past 11 years myself. It’s pretty easy to tell your husband you love him, and you should tell him every chance you get, but you should also show him. Actions always speak louder than words.
Make Dinner
This may not seem like a big deal to some women, but it is to me. I’m a horrible cook and my husband asked me a long time ago to stop cooking and let him do it. He’s an amazing cook, thankfully. However, I wanted to do something to show him how much I love him and give him a little break since he’s hard at work all day long (in his air conditioned office) and I’m home with the kids all day long. I learned how to cook by using the crockpot. I’m a great baker, and I learned that cooking in the crockpot is a lot like baking. Mix all the ingredients, put it in, and turn in on for a certain amount of time. He is always happy to come home to a delicious homecooked meal.
Learn Something New
My husband is always doing things for me and with me that I’m sure he’d rather not do. I decided to do the same for him. He’d been asking me to golf with him for years. It didn’t sound good to me, so I declined. Finally, I decided to go with him. Now it’s our favorite weekend morning activity.
Show Him You Love Him
The first thing I do when my husband pulls into our driveway is get our kids excited. When he opens the door and walks in, the girls jump up and down with excitement. They give him hugs and kisses and tell him they’re so happy to see him. I give him a big hug and a lingering kiss and tell him I missed him and that I’m happy to see him. It shows him how much I love him and how excited I am about him coming home at night.
