Makeup Trends to Skip This Season

Few women don’t love to wear at least a little makeup. It has this powerful way of giving you more confidence and making you feel even more attractive than you already are. However, just because you love makeup doesn’t mean you need to love all makeup, all the time, at the same time. Too much is always too much and less is always more when it comes to makeup. With that in mind, here are a few makeup trends it’s okay to skip this season.

Faux Lashes

You know something? Your natural lashes are beautiful just the way they are. They may not be perfect or even long and luscious without a little enhancement from your favorite makeup, but they’re gorgeous. Faux lashes, while in theory, are nice. However, in reality they often look, well, fake. No one wants to look fake.

Bold Brows

A nice bold brow is gorgeous. It gives you a strong look to your face and enhances your other features, causing you to look more confident. However, some women are taking the bold brow a whole different direction and it’s not attractive. It’s being referred to as the caterpillar brow and it’s kind of scary. No one wants to walk around looking as if they have a bug on their face, or two bugs on their face. Go bold without going ridiculous. Let your wax professional know that you want bold, not bushy.

Heavy Liner

I don’t know why people think this is attractive. Heavy eyeliner is something that should be reserved for models on the catwalk so that they stand out to those of us sitting far away and for evening looks. Heavy liner during the day makes you look a little ridiculous, like you’re trying too hard and almost scary. Go light or go home.
