My birthday is next month, which means that I’ll begin the countdown in a few weeks. I love my birthday. I might be turning 32, but I love birthdays. I don’t care how old you are, it’s your day and it’s a good one. People wish you happy birthday, you get cake, people are constantly bringing you awesome things like cupcakes and lattes and donuts and other things that you don’t need, but definitely want. Birthdays are an excuse to celebrate and spend time with the people you love the most, and that makes them awesome. And that’s why I love them. If you’re not certain you love birthdays, perhaps you haven’t realized that there are places all over the country happy to provide you with free things on your big day. No worries, we’ll help you take advantage of all the awesomeness that people want to share on your big day. Get ready, because you’re going to need a big appetite to make it through this list of exceptional goodness on your birthday.
Benihana – $30 gift card
What’s better than a meal at Benihanas? How about a $30 gift card good to have a meal on them when you do nothing more than register for the Chef’s Table program? It’s free, simple and takes about a minute to do, and you’ll get a free gift card to use on your birthday, which is kind of awesome. Oh, who am I kidding? It’s more than kind of awesome; it’s pretty much a free meal on your birthday.

Sign up online with Dave and Busters and you will receive a $10 game play gift card to use on your birthday. That’s a pretty good deal when you take into consideration just how quickly those game plays go when you’re in there. And if you’re even a little competitive, like so many of us really are, this is going to prove quite beneficial to you.
Subway – free meal
Subway is all about making sure people have a good time on their birthdays, which is why registering for their free customer program is totally worth it. You can do this in-store or online, and it takes only a matter of minutes. Once you do this, you will be able to get a free sub and a free drink on your birthday. It’s Subway’s way of thanking you for being a loyal customer to their little fast food chain every year.

This place makes some seriously good subs, and I am a self-proclaimed sub snob. Sure, you’re already going to eat more than your own fair share of goodies that day, but that’s what makes this so much fun. Now you get to eat a ton of goodies and you get to do it free of charge. That’s a nice birthday gift.

Does anyone not love the amazingness that is Panera? I do. I love everything that they have to offer, especially their pastries. They are so good that it is almost impossible not to want to eat them all every single time you enter a Panera. On your birthday, however, you will get a free one. All you have to do is get online and sign up for their online program. That enables you to enjoy free sugary goodness the day you were born.

This is my favorite. I use this every single year, and I do it with pleasure. As much as I spend on my private wear and my bikinis with them, I think that a $10 gift card for my birthday is a pretty nice little thank you. After all, my husband is under the impression that I keep them in business all year. Sign up your email address with the company and they will mail this to you on your birth month. It’s free, and it’s so easy. You don’t even have to make a purchase to do it but if you do make a purchase, it will work just the same.
Hooters – free wings
Everyone loves Hooter’s wings, and you can have them free of charge on your birthday. All you have to do is sign up for the company’s free online program and become one of them. Come in on your birthday and they will offer you a meal of free wings, which is awesome. It’s a totally awesome way to spend some time eating on your birthday. Free wings will go really well with the free cookies and other items on this list.
IHOP – free pancakes
Who does not love pancakes? Everyone loves pancakes. Sign up online with IHOP – free of charge – and then come in on your birthday. When you do, you will receive a free stack of pancakes, which is what the restaurant is famous for. This means you now have dessert, lunch and dinner in addition to breakfast paid for by someone else on your birthday. You can eat all day long and never even open your wallet.
Olive Garden – free appetizer
Sign up for the Olive Garden online program, which is free of charge, and you will receive a free appetizer of your choosing when you come into the restaurant on your birthday. That’s a nice gift considering that sometimes the cost of appetizers is a bit much. Enjoy this free gift, because it only happens once a year.
