How do you know when it’s time to start over? Most people experience a moment of clarity in which they realize they want to start over and move on from a life that no longer suits them. Sometimes it takes a major life event, such as a death or a divorce to jump start a person into wanting to start over. Other times it doesn’t take much at all. But how do you know when it’s time to start over? These three tips can help you decide.
There’s Nothing Left for You Here
If you find yourself in a world in which there’s nothing left for you, it’s time to move on and start over. This sometimes happens after divorce. Other times it happens simply over time and you might not even notice it right away. You grow up, you move on. You realize your friends aren’t people you’re overly close to and your job isn’t one you love. When you feel that there is nothing keeping you where you are, there probably isn’t.
Your Inspiration is Gone
Losing your inspiration and creativity is one of the worst things that can happen to you in life. When you’re no longer inspired to live your life to the fullest, there’s nothing left for you where you currently are. Sometimes it takes a big change to inspire you to do something you love and to make your life feel inspired all over again.
Sometimes people wake up and realize that they’re stuck. They’re not going any further at a particular job, they’re not getting anywhere in a relationship and they’re not getting anywhere in any aspect of life. When you feel stuck in a life that isn’t likely to change, it might be a sign that you’re ready to start over.
