It’s something some people do and others do not. For me, making the bed every single day is just a way of life. It’s something I’ve done for as long as I can remember, and I don’t remember ever being asked or told to do it growing up. I do it every day – or my husband does it while I’m in the shower – and our kids make their beds every day. We don’t have to ask; it’s like brushing your teeth in our house. When I stop and think about the reasons we make the bed, I have only one; because it’s clean. We like cleanliness and a neat house. It seems like the simplest thing to do each day, but not everyone makes their bed on a daily basis. And that leads us to wonder why, but more so to want to tell you that making your bed every single day is an act more important than you might give it credit for being; and we have those reasons for you right here.
You should make your bed every day for no other reason than the fact that it is clean and it makes your house look good. There really is no other reason but cleanliness.
Making the bed takes just a few moments time, and it’s something that can make you feel pretty good about yourself. It’s a simple act with a big impact.
It Provides a Sense of Control
When you make the bed, you feel that you are in control of your day. It’s one thing that’s able to be crossed off your list of things to do, and that’s more important than you might realize.
It Transforms a Room
Your room will look so much chicer, more elegant and more put together when you simply take the time to make the bed. It’s not a difficult task, but it can really transform the way a room looks at any given moment.
It Starts the Day off on the Right Foot
When you take the time to make your bed in the morning, you really do get your day started off on the right foot. Suddenly you are in a good mood, you’ve started the day off with something productive and you feel really accomplished. It’s a nice way to start your day.
