Celebrate The 4th Of July On A Budget With Your Family

The 4th of July is a fun holiday that is loved by both children and adults.  This holiday is one that you can easily celebrate while on a budget.  It doesn’t take a lot of money to enjoy the 4th of July on a budget; it just takes a bit of creativity.

A cookout should be the first order of the day.  It can be just you and your family or you can invite friends and family to join you.  If you have guests over, ask them to bring a dish or two along to help spread the expense out so that it is less you have to pay for.  Hamburgers and hot dogs are a great and economical way to celebrate.  For dessert, you can simply fix a box of brownies.  If you would like something a bit more festive, fix a white cake in a 9 x 13 cake pan and frost with Cool Whip.  Top with blueberries and strawberries to make the top of it look patriotic.

You can spend the afternoon playing outdoors and enjoying lots of fun summer activities including those that involve water.  Even if it is simply spraying the kids with the water hose and letting them have a water fight, nothing will provide more fun and entertainment.  If you have friends over, you can set up some games in the yard to be enjoyed.

As for 4th of July fireworks, most cities put on a good show for free.  All you are really out is the price of your gas.  You can take snacks along from home if you wish to enjoy while you are watching the show.

The 4th of July can be a lot of fun with your family, even if you are on a tight budget.
