There are at least 10 workouts that help to lose weight and are actually kind of fun. Best of all, you can try them all.
Zumba
At one point this workout, composed of cardio and Latin music, was insanely popular and was even featured on the Nintendo Wii. But whether you do this at home or in a gym, you’re going to lose weight, guaranteed.
HIIT
Just for those who don’t know, HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. It’s fairly simple, you work out hard for a set period, then relax with a cooldown before going back into high intensity.
Walking
It’s a little tougher to lose weight when just walking, but it is possible. Switch up your location, and your intensity, and you’ll see a difference in your performance.
Weightlifting
There are numerous different workouts that you can accomplish with weights. One thing to remember though is that you don’t need to lift heavy all the time. Work up to it and respect your limits.
Yoga
Yoga can be low-intensity or higher-intensity despite how it looks. Many of the poses will make you work, not to mention the amount of time it takes to perfect some of the movements.
Running
This is a great way to lose weight, but like weightlifting, you need to respect your limits. Once your endurance and stamina begin to build, you can keep pushing yourself.
Swimming
A lot of people have taken to swimming since it’s a very low-impact exercise that still works your body in various ways. One or two laps will make it clear that you don’t use every muscle at all times.
Jumping Rope
This is another exercise that can vary from one workout to another. Many of us practiced jump rope as kids, so it’s just a step or two up from that, to get started at least.
Pilates
Used for increasing your flexibility and working on your core, pilates are great as a workout, but not something everyone gets into. Still, it works, and it’s great for those who don’t want to lift weights that often.
Cycling
What’s really great about cycling is that bikes have changed greatly over the years. Not only that, but you can vary your workouts from one day to the other by riding on flat surfaces and then up hills the next.
