Egg Whites Nutrition vs. Yolk Nutrition

There’s a lot of debate about which is healthier; the egg or the white. And it seems that many people are unaware which one is actually the best. Some people think that they can eat the entire egg and be fine, while others are wholeheartedly against the concept of eating the yellow portion of any egg. They consider it unhealthy and bad for them, and they’re not entirely wrong. There is nothing wrong, in general, with the yellow portion of an egg. The yolk, in moderation, is not bad for you at all. If you choose to eat the yolk, however, it is a good idea to do it in moderation so that you can ensure you’re getting the best possible nutrition available to you and that you’re in a place in which you can stay as healthy as possible.

Eggs, by nature, are not going to ruin your diet or cause you to gain weight unless you eat them in huge quantities, which is what some athletes do. Egg white nutrition is better for you, but it’s not the only portion of the egg you should eat from time to time. When you choose to consume an entire egg, you’re going to get more protein. But when you choose to eat just the white, you’re going to see that you consume fewer calories. There is a bit of a discrepancy as to how much of each you should consume, but it’s not a bad idea to have a little of both from time to time. The real reason is that you’re getting more overall health eating the entire egg, since the yolk is filled with healthy nutrients that your body needs to consume on a regular basis, and that’s why the whole egg is a good choice. Just don’t ask us why the chicken crossed the road.
