Bad Skin Care Habits That are Ruining Your Skin

Your skin is one of the most visual and most important parts of your body. That’s why so many of us work so hard to take such good care of it. However, despite our best efforts, some women make major skin mistakes that cost you your health. With all the new skincare products on the market and all the old ones to choose from, it’s amazing that we can make so many mistakes with our skin – particularly our faces – but misinformation is to blame.


So many women skip the sunscreen application because your makeup has sunscreen in it. While that is wonderful that your makeup has its own sunscreen, you still need to apply sunscreen. To your face, to your body, to everything; you have to have it every single day, even if you’re indoors. Whether you are in the sun or not, you are exposed to the sun. It comes in through your vehicle windows, your office windows, and your house windows.

Too Much of a Good Thing

Exfoliating is great but if you do it every day, you’re ruining your skin. Once the dead skin cells are sloughed off, you are doing nothing but exfoliating your healthy skin cells right off your body. You should exfoliate, but save it for the once a week or so that you should be doing it. Once a week, exfoliate your entire body for the best possible results.

Not Washing

It might be completely innocent, but every time you go to bed with your makeup on, you are doing a disservice to your face. You must wash your face every night. Not only do you have a myriad of germs and grime in your pores after a long day, you are then transferring it to your pillow. The next night when you do wash your face, you are just putting it on your dirty pillow and reintroducing all the nasty germs from the day before.
