They’re cute, fun and delicious. Making cake pops is such an easy thing to do, it’s no wonder people love making them. If you’ve never done it before, you might worry that it will be difficult, but it’s not. All you need is your favorite cake recipe (might I suggest the one right out of the box?) and a little bit of time and you’ll have amazing cake pops that are sure to impress.
Bake your cake according to your instructions. The right way to do this is follow your own recipe. Since everyone’s will be different, there is no sense in detailing the million ways to bake a cake. Just bake it and let it cool completely when it’s done. The next step is to remove your newly baked cake from its pan and place it in a large mixing bowl and then crumble it into tiny pieces. Next, just add half a container of frosting to the mix and mix it well.
You’ll use your hands to mix the cake and the frosting, and you’re doing to get dirty. Once the mix is completely sticky and in one big ball, start pinching off pieces and rolling them into one-inch balls and setting them aside. Do this with the entire cake.
Using candy sticks, stick each cake ball so that it looks like a lollipop. The next step is to melt a package of chocolate, white or dark; it’s your choice. You’ll follow the melting instructions on the package and then dip your cake balls into the hot, melted chocolate and roll it around until it’s covered. You can then place your cake pops on a piece of foil or wax paper, or stick them in a cake pop board so that the excess chocolate drips off and doesn’t leave your pops with a flat side on top.
Wait them for them cook and then enjoy your delicious cake pops.
