When you think of Charlotte, you probably don’t think about restaurants so much as you think about southern hospitality, big front porches and gorgeous weather. But you should think about the restaurants here; they’re gorgeous and they’re filled with the kind of good-old southern cooking for which North Carolina is famous. We love the food here, and you should, too. And that’s why we recommend you plan a trip the beautiful city of Charlotte for Charlotte restaurant week. You’ll get to try the best food from the best places in the city and for a price that’s far lower than you might expect. And you’ll get to spend some time enjoying the beautiful weather and the hospitality the south is so famous for extending to those around them. But there are a few things you need to know before you enjoy some time exploring Charlotte restaurant week if you’re not from around here.
Dining is Highly Casual
There are so few places in the south in which you have to dress up as you would in bigger cities. That’s not to say there are none, but typically the best ones are the ones you don’t have to do get dressed up to enjoy. We can tell you it’s just part of the deal.
You’ll Never Want to Leave
If you’ve never been here before, you’re going to want to stick around. Charlotte is absolutely stunning and gorgeous, and it’s a place that you will find yourself at home in an instant. So be prepared to want to come back as often as possible.
Southern Food isn’t Always Healthy
Southerners do eat healthy food, but most of our favorite dishes are anything but. We like it fried, we like it fatty and we like it delicious. Fortunately, there’s plenty of places you can walk around and burn those calories when you’re in the city.
