With that in mind, we found a salmon recipe that’s a little bit different. At first it might not seem a lot like a delicious way to eat salmon, but our sweet and spicy salmon is delicious. Trust us enough to try this recipe at least once and you will not regret the decision in the least.
What You Need
4 salmon filets (4 oz each and very fresh)
2.5 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
The first thing you will do is get a shallow dish in which you can mix your honey and half your olive oil. You’ll then brush this light mixture over your fresh salmon filets. Rinse out your dish and then mix your brown sugar, chili powder, cumin and your salt and pepper to this dish. What you’re going to do now is use your hands to rub this mixture all over your salmon.
To cook your fish, heat your large skillet to medium/high. Add the rest of your olive oil to the mix and then place your salmon filets into the pan with the skin down. You’ll want to lower the heat a bit right there and allow the fish to sear for approximately 7 minutes on that side before flipping it for a minute or two. The center of the fish should be around 145 degrees – no less.
Once it’s finished, serve it with your favorite sides and enjoy this delicious sweet and spicy salmon recipe.
