Cucumbers are some of the most beneficial vegetables you will find in the supermarket or that you can grow in your garden. Not only are they amazing to eat, they’re great for your body. They’re healthy and packed with healthy vitamins and minerals, and they can make your eyes look amazing. Most of us need a little help in the eye department. We spend most of our time squinting, hanging out in bright lights and fixated on screens all day long. The iPhone seems to be bigger than ever, but we’re still squinting and working our eyes entirely too much to make it possible to see those little letters. It might not seem like a big deal to many, but every day your eyes suffer more. They become puffy, red and tired. It’s up to you to give them a break and make them look and feel better. We have a recipe for cucumber eye pads that will work wonders on your eyes.
What You Need
1 large cucumber or 2 smaller cucumbers
10 circular cotton pads
Leaving the skin on the cucumber, you will want to stick it in the blender and blend it until it’s liquid. You might have to add a bit of water to make this possible, but you shouldn’t have to add much and you should start adding only a little at a time if deemed necessary.
Place your cotton pads in the mixture and leave them there for 5 to 10 minutes or until they have time to soak up the cucumber water efficiently. Remove the pads from the mixture and gently squeeze the excess from the pads. Once this is complete, put the pads in a freezer bag and stick them in the freezer until you are ready to use them. You’ll want to give them a few minutes to thaw before using them on your eyes, and you’ll want to leave them in the freezer at least 3 hours before you use them the first time.
