How much fun would it be to incorporate a bit more nature into your home décor? In my house we have what we call fresh flower Friday, which is the day I go to the florist and pick up three or four bouquets of tulips, roses and daises to put in vases around the house. The white ones go in my office. The pink ones go on the sill of the big picture window in the nook, red go on the dining room table and the yellow go on the kitchen island. We love having a bit of nature in our home, and we think that most people also love this. That’s what makes the DIY stump coffee table so fascinating. No one else is going to have the same furniture you have if you make it yourself. Your home will be so personal and so envy-inducing that people will not be able to help but gush over all the things you do and make in your own home. It is a nice touch.

It’s a Hobby

Hobbies are good for the soul. They distract you and provide you with something fun to do. They make you feel good, and sometimes they’re profitable if you’re really good at what you do. So there; so many reasons to DIY.
