United is Offering Discounted Awards to Europe for Winter 2016

London

The good news is just rolling in using leaps and bounds this holiday season, and United Airlines is the latest airline to offer a deal that’s almost too good to pass up. Do you have any need to go to Europe in the coming months? If you do (or you just want to), you’re going to want to act fast so that you can get the best deals on the most outstanding prices available at the moment. United is currently offering passengers a chance to book roundtrip flights to Europe for as few as 45,000 miles – which is 15,000 miles less than the standard 60,000 miles it takes to book a roundtrip European ticket on a regular basis. That’s a great deal, and it’s one that you might want to take advantage of now.

You have until December 8 to rock this deal and make this trip happen, saving you significantly as far as your hard-earned points are considered. The catch is that you have to travel sometime between January 11, 2016 and March 10, 2016 to take advantage of these amazing deals. Additionally, you have to choose very specific days to book tickets at only 45,000. These days are Monday – Thursday. If you want to book a ticket that takes off on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the rate goes up to 51,000 miles. It’s still lower than 60,000 miles, but it’s not the same deal as you might get if you adjust your travel time by a day or two either way.

There are just a few things to consider before you get too excited, though. For one, you have until December 8, 2015 to book tickets at this low mileage rate otherwise the reward trip is no longer available. Additionally, you will want to pay cash if the flight is less than $756 total since you will not be getting a good value for your points – it would be cheaper to pay cash than to waste points on a flight like this.

Finally, you can book your ticket in a number of ways. You can book a one-way on a Monday-Thursday for a lower point rate and a one-way flight home on a weekend for the slightly higher rate (cut in half, obviously). You can book an open-ended trip. You can even book a trip to Europe in which you leave during the promotional time frame and come home later. You’ll just book your flight using points on the way there, and with cash on the way back.

If you’re planning a trip to Europe in the coming months, now is the time to go ahead and do it. These deals are not going to last forever; you have one more week to make a decision and book a low-cost flight to Europe taking advantage of this amazing offer by United Airlines.
